Gallery artist and personal friend James Burpee passed away earlier in 2026.  We are launching this show to remember his deft brushstrokes and to explore just a tiny fraction of his decades of artistic creation.

 

From Burpee's archive we gleaned a wide breadth of his work -- schoolwork, studies, drawings, paintings of figurative social commentary and his well known nature/water perspective series.
