​

I was born and raised in the Arizona desert. The environment is part of me. The breeze flows through me and the sun shines in me. I feel the drama of the monsoons. I study the clouds to know myself.

 

I have been deeply touched by the fragility and strength of the plants and animals I encounter while on along hikes through the wild desert. Surprises around every bend. The thundering storms bring electric green moss. The softest rabbit hides in the spiked cactus. The skies hold magic in them, releasing their overflowing bounty rushing over our parched surfaces.

 

I rejoice in my connection to it all. It is my greatest joy to capture this on the canvas.
