Reginald Pollack
August 2019 thru Sept 9, 2019
Reception: Saturday, Aug 31, 5-9 pm
Take a journey through the 1980's-90's fantastical oil creations of famed Palm Springs artist Reginald Pollack (b.1924-2001) as Rubine Red presents an exclusive offering from his personal collection.
Pollack was a prolific painter of surrealistic art using oil on masonite board to create incredibly multi-layered artwork. The layering of faces and his well-known "Poglin" creatures create even larger faces and landscapes (Pollack coined the term "Poglin" as a mash-up of "Goblin and "Pollack"). One has to spend only a few moments with his work to realize that there are thousands of things to see in each of his masterworks.
