Malcolm Myers
The Guggenheim Years

1951-1955


Below are artworks created from 1951 to 1955 -- when Malcolm Myers was abroad in both Paris, France and Mexico City, Mexico -- having received two prestigious Guggenheim Foundation Fellowships.

Myers Paris fellowship started in 1951 and was generously renewed for 1952.  His turn in Mexico City started in 1954 and ended in 1955.

During his time in Paris, he worked out of Stanley William (Bill) Hayter's world famous studio Atleier 17 including: Picasso, Giacometti, Miró, Calder, Chagall, Antúnez, Pollock, Rothko, Kandinsky,   Lasansky, Sonderborg, Blanc and Yarrow.
