Lee Morrison

Vibrant...Organic...Imaginative...

From Lee Morrison:

My work is rooted in vibrant, abstract paintings that invite reflection and inspire forward momentum. In my art, trees serve as symbols of quiet strength and resilience, their bare forms standing in contrast against colorful, abstract backgrounds. This interplay represents the passage of time, vulnerability, and the enduring spirit of nature.

Through my Forest Series, I aim to capture the essence of nature’s cradle and its challenges. Each tree embodies a moment frozen in time—a testament to the resilience required to endure life's seasons. The fragmented, colorful backgrounds juxtapose the starkness of the trees, creating a visual dialogue between vitality and stillness, between movement and silence.

My paintings are not only about what is seen but also what is felt—a convergence of past and present, strength and fragility. I hope that when you engage with my work, you’re moved by the quiet yet powerful narratives woven into the colors and forms, and that this experience inspires you in your own journey.

BIOGRAPHY

Lee Morrison has a primal need to paint. As a visual artist, Lee’s work centers around colorful, abstract paintings that invite reflection and inspire forward momentum. In her art, trees stand as symbols of quiet strength and resilience—their bare forms contrasting against vibrant, abstract backgrounds. This interplay signifies the passage of time, vulnerability, and the enduring spirit of nature.

Lee lives and maintains her art studio in Sherwood, Oregon. Her work has been featured in dozens of exhibitions and juried shows all over America from coast to coast—including Palm Beach, Florida, Palm Springs, California, Seattle, Portland, and numerous communities near those cities.

The colorful, fragmented backgrounds contrast with the starkness of the trees, creating a visual dialogue between vitality and stillness, between movement and silence.

Lee’s paintings are not just about what is seen, but also what is felt—a convergence of past and present, of strength and fragility. When people engage with her work, they often find themselves moved by the quiet, yet powerful narratives embedded within the myriad colors and forms she includes.
